Remedy for Bloggers Block

Man! It's been so long since I've updated my family, friends and all you blogger readers out there on my mid-west life! Well.. this first remedy to this writers block is a full on cold. That's right, this girl is bed ridden today from a lame 'ol cold. Even though this isn't anything to exactly be excited for it gives me the opportunity to update you! I've been gone through Spring Break, second semester, hikes, lake days, and school.
Let's start with spring break! Oh man was it amazing. I drove from Colorado to Los Angeles. Boy was that a drive with some of my girls, completely worth it though. Spent a couple days on the beach, went and enjoyed Malibu, Simi Valley, Santa Monica, Thousand Oaks, and the nigh life of LA. Then if that wasn't enough I flew up to Oregon and had the week with my family, friends, and my boyfriend :)
Coming back to Colorado was hard, but exciting at the same time because I only have four weeks left of my first year at college!! I CAN NOT believe how fast this year has gone! Now, it's not over yet, I have to of course, face finals but I know I've made it this far so I can do it!
Thank you all for your patience, love and support this year. <3

Right now, please lets send our prayers and love towards Boston and those who were affected by this terrible tragedy.

Isaiah 41:10
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

Let It Snow Baby

I gotta catch you guys up!! It's been a while!
But first, before you get lost in my recent adventures I want to wish my Papa (grandpa) a very very Happy 80th Birthday! Sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate with you but I love you lots and hope you had the FANTASTIC Birthday you deserve. You're the best grandpa a granddaughter could ask for :)

Today's blog also will be written in all blue in representation of the snow filled life I have been living recently in Colorado!

LAST WEEKEND: Went snowboarding with my girl Kayt up at Powderhorn.

It's a mesa about 40 minutes (more or less) from the CMU campus, with some awesome snow. We had a blast shredding together all day, until her car broke down on the way home...
Now, if you read my last blog on my X Games Aspen trip you may remember our van broke down outside of Aspen on the way home. Seems like I am not having the best luck with cars recently haha. Anyway we called AAA and got a tow. While it was a bummer her car had to get towed, it didn't seem to put a damper on the day at all :)
There's not much that can kill the mood when you've spend a glorious day on the mountain with new snow, and some sunshine.

THIS WEEKEND: Went to a Winter Retreat with an on campus ministry group called TNL. It was AMAZING. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to spend some much needed time in the Word with some of the prime students of Colorado Mesa University! Studies and testimonies were shared through the weekend. As well as some fun snow fights and intense pool pig games!

Well, these past snow-filled weekends have been great. Met some people filled with joy and had a blast making our own fun. It's going to be a busy week with my school work and studies so if you have the time add a little prayer for my upcoming tests! hahah I am going to be working hard and studying lots. It always seems that when I get the chance to "refresh" on the weekends I feel ready to take on my upcoming school work! Have a fantastic week everyone and thanks for keeping up on my Colorado adventures! xoxo

Adventures of Colorado: X Files

The start off of a new and wonderful semester here at CMU has begun!
It's back to the books and homework life. Christmas break was amazing, getting to see all my family and friends made it such a recovery break. As my mom said it allowed me to "recharge my batteries". And she is exactly right, that's precisely how I feel. Coming back to Colorado was a bit scary at first but then everything just started to fall into place and even though this isn't my "home" it's where I live and I wouldn't have it any other way.
So to kick off the new and exciting semester what better way then to take a road trip to Aspen, CO for the Winter X Games ?!?

What an EXPERIENCE! I have watched the X games on my television back home for years and years since I was little. I got the chance to be within 100 ft of Shaun White haha and see some pretty spectacular tricks and jumps. Watching people defy gravity is breathtaking. Here's a couple of pics of the events and some of my friends who I got to enjoy this experience with.

After the events were over there was a concert that I was NOT expecting! Calvin Harris performed a concert in the snowy atmosphere of Aspen. Again, it was amazing :) I've always loved Calvin Harris and not a lot beat jumping up and down to some awesome beats while the snow is falling down on you.
Some vids of the Calvin Harris concert!

Till next time!
